The City of Alexandria handles trash collection for all of its residents. The fee for trash services is included in the property tax. Residents reserve the right to hire a private company at their own expense.

The City of Arlington contracts their trash collection to two companies: CSI and Bates. The city does not give out these contractors’ phone numbers; for information contact the city’s public works department.
